Can someone reccomend a build for R/Me (for general Pve/campaign)
Hi, i need a build for a R/Me, which is for PvE and completing the prophecies campaign, so as much damage dealing as possible plus good defense.
I can get skill from factions and Nightfall aswell, but only from the main cities where you go when you travel (Kainegg in fations, not sure what one it is in NF)
Not sure if i should use my melandrus stalker or not, since it can be a good tank/distraction.
Anyway thanks in advance for any build suggestions

Personally I like this build for R/Me good support and fair amount of dmg.
Broad head arrow, Savage shot, Distracting shot, Epidemic, Apply poison, Lightning reflexes, Throw dirt, Rez
All around good build for caster shut down, and for poison spreading. I bring two interrupts just in case BHA misses for some stupid reason, or I transfer targets.

What elites do you have open? If you have all 3 campaigns make your way through NF to Nundu Bay to cap Burning Arrow, or cap BHA as daky mentioned. Barrage is...okay but you dont have the /Rt or /E secondary to exploit it's AoE.
I honestly think Epidemic is a joke though, but since you got /me then flaunt it. I think Trappers in PvE though are pretty weak sauce compared to a standard barrager.

Though you may ask for a R/Mes build, the fact is you don't even need to touch your secondary to play a Ranger. Trappers in PvE aren't needed, yet carrying a couple traps can work miracles in Elona or in the areas beyond Lion's Arch.
As for elites to use, if playing through Prophecies first, most take [skill=card]Poison Arrow[/skill] and rock until they get [skill=card]Barrage[/skill]. However, you can get [skill=card]Burning Arrow[/skill] or Barrage pretty early on in Elona. If you want to use your pet, I would suggest getting the sunspear skill Never Rampage Alone, since it is PvE based and gives you the [skill=card]Rampage as One[/skill] option without the elite slot being needed. Though some may look at the Sunspear Ranger skill as a watered down RaO, it does what RaO used to do without the running, and you get the full duration like it used to be without the elite slot being used. Also, the regen and IAS for both you and your pet from the Sunspear skill makes it very useful.
Yet, R/Mes is what you want to be, then epidemic it is.

I like using this one (very similar to I Might Avenge U's post)
[skill]fevered dreams[/skill][skill]apply poison[/skill][skill]screaming shot[/skill][skill]pin down[/skill][skill]concussion shot[/skill][skill]throw dirt[/skill][skill]troll unguent[/skill][skill]resurrection signet[/skill]
Marks...14 (10+1+2)
Wilderness..10 (9+1)
Expertise...14 (11+2)
Illusion....4
Although it takes your ranger elite away it still does a far better job of spreading conditions. I'd also swap out res sig for sun-spear rebirth sig.

xllent built!!! got similar, also use incendiary arrows they kick azz! concussion shot is good but it eats up ur energy, so unless u have the prepared shot do not use it.

Not with that much Expertise.. just do concussion shot, followed by prepared shot.. Should leave you at about 15 or 20 energy..
It's also worth it if you get a big group of casters, just daze one + Epidemic + MM hero mmmm... Silly noob caster monsters...

I disagree with lowering Expertise...having higher is better because...
"For each rank of Expertise, the Energy cost of all of your attacks, Rituals, touch skills, and Rangers skills are decreased by 4%. Several skills, especially those related to Energy costs and skill recharge times, become more effective with higher Expertise."
This will make Concussion Shot far more usable....and will open you're elite spot for another conditioning shot like [skill]burning arrow[/skill] if going the Epidemic route

Yeah, Burning arrow has nice Damage, but the condition is not worth is because you can't spam epidemic to re-aply burning.
[skill]Epidemic[/skill]
Transfers Remaining condition time..

I guess [skill]broad head arrow[/skill] could be more useful than BA then and lose concussion all together for [skill]pin down[/skill] or something?
this is assuming you're running high enough expertise to not need prepared shot
Too bad there's no lengthen burning 33% mod huh?
I still prefer [skill]fevered dreams[/skill] over [skill]epidemic[/skill] for condition spreading

I'm currently looking at a setup like this:
[skill]Apply Poison[/skill][skill]Screaming Shot[/skill][skill]Pin Down[/skill][skill]Epidemic[/skill][skill]Troll Unguent[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]
But I'm not sure what Elite and one other skill that goes along with the Elite that I should use. I like the look of Prepared Shot, but it feels likes Concussion Shot is too exclusive to boss situations, and kind of banks in on the fact that your enemies cast slower spells... whatevs. Any personal preferences?

What I found usefull from R/Me:
Generally you want to stay away from domination and illusion magic ( unless its for fevered ) Since rangers are versatile and have better options for most of the skills in those line...without sacrificing anything.
Inspiration magic is ok. Signet of Humility can be usefull if the rangers job is shutdown, And power drain is an intersting non elite form of energy management for rangers, assuming you use it intelligently. Theirs also the mantra/winter combo which can be fun in missions where elemental damage is heavy.
Really its the No attribute skills that make the R/Me. As said above me, epidemic wins. If you know a mission has enchants you want removed, lysas balance is good on a ranger due to low cost and the fact that rangers have no enchantment.
Ive also seen a few expel hexes R/Me actually work, but I would only recommend it if you plan a build with your team , otherwise its not a good idea to bring to randomway.
